About me

Alina Tomșa · Business development · Business analysis · Coordination

Curious by nature. Committed by choice.

I'm Alina Tomșa, and I like understanding how things connect: people, ideas, numbers and decisions. I usually start with questions. Then I put the pieces together and look for an approach we can actually put into practice.

I grew up in Iași, studied computer science and management, and worked across media, technology, business analysis and coordination. Today my work includes hospitality, communications and AI products. Each step added something I needed to see the bigger picture.

My path, in three acts.

  1. Iași

    Roots

    Computer science, then management

“Grigore C. Moisil” Computer Science High School (1998–2002), then Management at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (2005–2010). It left me with a habit: first understand how things work.

  2. 2006 – 2019

    Act I · Media

    Thirteen years in media

Four media agencies, then Studio Moderna: strategy for TV, radio, print, online and outdoor, negotiation, budgets and reporting. That is where I learned to connect numbers with people and sales.

  3. 2017 – 2026

    Act II · Technology

From testing to analysis and processes

I tested applications on projects for E.ON Romania and was a business analyst on an application for the Romanian SAF-T (D406) return. At Contradiction Fiscal Consultancy I automated invoicing for more than 1,000 invoices and put the documentation of an 80-vehicle fleet over 3 years in order.

  4. since 2026

Act III · People and business

    Operations, communication, products

I coordinate operations and processes at HUBIX Renting, I am a media consultant at SĂVESCU & ASOCIAȚII, and together with Alex Teodorovici we are building AIprenor, a software and AI solutions company that gave birth to NoUnread, one of our products. Two more projects close to my heart are on the way: thekonekter.com and linkasa.ro, through which I want to connect people and simplify things that are needlessly complicated today.

What I learned along the way

People can tell you what your life will look like. Sometimes they are only describing their own fears.

Someone once told me, with great conviction, that my career was about to end. I chose a different script: I taught myself things I didn't think I could do, and I learned to ask for help and to set limits.

That is why I like working with people who want to grow. And showing them it can be done, one step at a time.

What I believe.

01

People make the difference.

I believe in connections that make sense. I like getting to know people, finding out what drives them and creating links that can grow into collaborations, ideas and good projects.

02

First I understand, then I build.

I ask questions, look for the context and try to see the bigger picture. I don't rush to propose solutions before I understand the problem. That is often where the most time is saved.

03

Small things say a lot.

A timely reply, a promise kept, a detail noticed. I believe professionalism shows most in what you do when nobody is checking.

04

I like making things happen.

I bring ideas, energy and commitment. I ask for help when I need it, offer it when I can, and I believe good projects grow when people pool their experience, resources and trust.

Good things are built together.

I like people who bring ideas, ask questions and aren't afraid to look at things from different angles. I like understanding the bigger picture, finding solutions and turning conversations into something concrete.

I believe in collaborations where everyone knows what they have to do, communication is open and responsibility doesn't get lost along the way. I keep my promises and I value people who do the same.

And I believe that sometimes the most valuable contribution is bringing the right people to the same table. You don't have to know or do everything yourself; you need to know how to build together with others.

A recommendation

Alina este o persoana foarte ambitioasa, ordonata si face tot posibilul "sa-i iasa" lucrurile asa cum trebuie sa fie.

Beyond work.

Theatre and opera

I love theatre and opera. Faust in Sibiu and The Phantom of the Opera are among my favourite shows, but the list is much longer. I love stories that keep you on the edge of your seat, performances that surprise you and emotions that stay with you long after the curtain falls.

I love the magic that happens on stage, when you forget your phone, your emails and everything you left unfinished, and for a few hours you live someone else's story.

Some shows make me laugh, others make me cry or leave me with questions for days. And there are a few I would see again any time, even though I know every moment by now. Because the emotion is never quite the same. :)

Music

I love music. All kinds. From The Urs, Tania Turtureanu and Dolce Riviera to Metallica, Leonard Cohen, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Queen, ABBA, Tom Odell, Katie Melua and Dire Straits. From Fade Into You by Mazzy Star to Mad About You by Hooverphonic. From rock to jazz, from classical music to a piano that can tell a whole story without a single word.

I don't have a favourite genre. I have songs for people, places, memories and moods. Some make me dance, others make me go quiet, and a few I play obsessively until they become part of my story. I think music has the wonderful gift of saying what we sometimes can't put into words.

Moving

I love the mountains, and Herăstrău Park at 5:30 in the morning, while the city is still asleep. I like tennis (still learning!), yoga, pilates and, now and then, a motorcycle ride when friends take me out for a spin. :)

I like being on the move, discovering new places and testing my limits. Sometimes I'm very disciplined; other times I hold serious negotiations with myself just to get out of the house. And I don't always win. :))

Moving clears my head, gives me energy and helps me find my balance when things get busy. I'm not chasing performance, but that wonderful feeling of being at peace with myself. And, if possible, a little better than yesterday.

The sea

I love the sea, especially early in the morning, when the beach is almost empty and the world is still asleep. I love sunrises, long walks on the sand, the sound of the waves and the quiet that, in high season, takes a little more patience to find. :)

Off-season, I sometimes move my office there. I've found that good ideas don't necessarily need four walls, and that some things fall into place more easily with a coffee in front of you and the sea in the background.

I love being able to work from anywhere, and the sea reminds me how good it is to combine what you have to do with what you enjoy. And, I admit, sometimes I forget to close the laptop. :)

I'm learning to leave room for things that don't need to become a goal straight away. I don't always manage, but I increasingly like what happens when I do.
